ECDL atyourpace is a complete course of tutored learning on CD-ROM that enables you to study and practice for your ECDL Syllabus Version 4 qualification. The audio visual programme uses tell-show-try videos that take you step by step through each of the learning modules. The atyourpace course takes you through each of the 7 modules step by step, developing your skills and knowledge whilst preparing you for the tests.

Module 1: Basic concepts of IT
Discover how IT systems are found in everyday situations, including health, security and legal issues.

Module 2: Using the Computer and Managing Files
Understand the basic functions of a personal computer and its operating system.

Module 3: Word Processing
Learn the basics of word processing. Progress to more advanced areas of Word including tables, images and mail merge.

Module 4: Spreadsheets
Understand the basics of spreadsheets before moving on to more advanced areas including importing objects and creating graphs and charts.

Module 5: Databases
Learn how to design and plan a simple database. Understand how to retrieve information using available query, select and sort tools.

Module 6: Presentations
Design simple presentations using basic slide show effects and the use of graphics and charts. Create a range of different presentations suited to different target audiences or situations.

Module 7: Information and Communication
Includes tutorials on effective use of the world wide web, including web searching and web browsing basics. Communication introduces you to e-mails and covers sending and receiving attachments and organising e-mails into folders.

ECDL atyourpace Student Edition

This special edition of ECDL atyourpace is suitable for self study, or for a supported course of study by distance learning, open learning or classroom based training with an F.E. college or other learning provider.

Assessment

The ECDL module tests can be taken at over 2,500 approved test centres in the UK. To obtain your qualification you will need to register with the British Computer Society (the accrediting body) before taking your tests.
